Live Your Life

Forgive your shortcomings, seize the day
Go for the true happiness that you seek
Count stars at night, indulge yourself, and write
Work efficiently then take time to play
Love with all your heart and expect nothing
Compromise but don’t let your morals sway
Take time to feel raindrops and taste the snow
Sculpt a masterpiece, your life is the clay
Be sure to think about the words you speak
Indulge yourself and write, count stars at night
Smile if things are tough, it will be okay

Congratulations Evelyn! Your poem earned a distinguished place in my contest. This was a very challenging contest and therefor tough to judge, but yours made my list, well done my friend, Emile.

Sounds like a life lived well, Evelyn. Good luck! My favorite line in this poem is, "Sculpt a masterpiece, your life is the clay" excellent!
