Little Girls With No Fancy Curls
Little girls with no fancy curls,
tossed upon their heads.
They only need a smile indeed,
and impish looks instead.
They need to have tussled clothes,
scuffed shoes and un-matched sox.
Dimples deep, and pert grins,
eyes that snap a lot.
Curled up toes, reeking and muddy,
hands that are really grubby.
Fist held tight, in utter delight,
clutter to be treasured at night.
Goose bumps and wriggly lumps,
toys that help them jump.
Little girls with no fancy curls,
mostly like all other little girls.
