Little Big You

Hey you!
Yeah, you—the little big you.

Never let 'You' go.
Shhh! Little big, you better be saying 'Yes',
Even when society says a clamorous 'No'.

Don't let little you escape,
Keep little her and him tucked away.
That Wonder Woman tiara and that Superman cape,
Be that little girl or boy who still dreams every day.

Allow the sun to shine deep in your soul---
Protect and love the little, precious you.
No matter how dark the world may get or how cold,
Stay in touch with your little self as you continue.

Hold on to that frabjous smile---
Don't let the outside erase it.
Remember, it was born from the inside,
And God didn't intend for a frown to replace it.

That beautiful and wondrous mind---
Keep feeding it with curiosity and cherished aspirations.
And soon divine treasures you'll find.

Remember, little you came first for a reason,
So to forget it would be a case of treason.

No matter how many passing moons or rising suns,
Never forget the authentic little you—the real one.
