Listening To Spirit

Listening to spirit 
Mystically aware
Hearing Little Wolf's drums
As I enter dream-state

Power animals prance forward
In totem formation
Bear is more shy than I realized.
Deer more self-confident

Showing me the way
Leading me to answers
Scripts and astrology 
Failed to do

I travel astral planes
Nightly, seeking other pieces
Of my soul-mind,
Kindred parts that I have lost

Reflecting on past lives,
Seeing mistakes I have made,
Semi-remembering them
In the morning
