Liquid Ebony
Black inks space; blotting up light
smeared by the sun at day's end.
And reveals a starry night,
awaiting dawn's early glow.
Behind the veil of nightfall;
indigo morphs into black.
And suddenly, shadows merge,
morphing into silhouettes.
At night, liquid ebony
saturates infinity.
And all of the universe,
gets encased in its embrace.
Reality hides black holes;
in places absent of light.
And forms an eternal pitch,
wherein color goes to die.
