Lioness

She's a lioness a protector and a fighter
She guards her offsprings with all her heart and soul
She takes bullets without hesitation
She jumps in without thinking of possibilities of a sink or die
She lives for her family
She lives to love and nurturer
Then one day the sun didn't shine
Her will and her power was tested
All armies came against
Wounded and cursed her soul
For her offsprings it was fear that coated them
Living in a shadow of what could happen next
But in that state of mind
One saw a strength none of them dared to see
She chanted and cheered her mother as she saw her lose it
She knew that all things come to pass
Knew that all happenings had a sense of learning
The lioness looked at her own and saw a reflection of her
She saw a someone who'd make it if she didn't
