Lion Spirit Animal
beneath the bright ember fire and azure skies,
I close and rest my eyes for a moment
sleep prowl with the sun's warm caress.
I lie in quiet rhythmic purr of the pride.
the whole land dreads both of the beast and king
that walk-in integrity and honor.
my spirit walks on land until it comes
to a mirror pond to quench my thirst.
my image reflects, a vibrant yellow mane
the color of the golden Egypt sands
and eyes of gold.
a mystical force speaks in my thoughts,
"You, the King of Beast will roar with steel courage,
walk cloak in the lunar power of la noche,
while souls are in peaceful sleep
like a cat you will unseen and
unheard hunt yet immobile."
