Lines Of Light

When words collide with thoughts of love to fountain forth an eager pen Then lines of light begin to form and fill the page with hope again A world that pirouettes in pain will often bid a muse to bed Then feelings bottled and constrained can ne’er escape a weary head Yet love not only heals the Earth but all that hinders words to flow So when I write with heart and grace I write from what I yearn to know

Your poetry is a source of light and love on this site, Mike. A world that dances in pain is not the kind of ballet we want to watch, but we cannot escape it.

Mike, this beautifully captures the dance of words and emotions. The imagery of thoughts colliding with love, creating lines of light that fill the page with hope, is truly poetic. The acknowledgment of pain and the healing power of love in unleashing words is eloquently expressed. Your verses reflect a deep connection between heart, grace, and the yearning for understanding. It's a testament to the profound impact of love on both the writer and the world. - Blessings, Daniel

a beautifully crafted and artistic poem. Your imagery and lines are creative but truthful. I especially liked: Then lines of light begin to form and fill the page with hope again." Well said and truthful. I also liked 'a world that piroeuttes in pain.' How do you come up with such delightful expressions. Well done, am faving. Have a great day, Sara

How heartfelt and well woven is this. I love so many lines in this dear mike. Especially “ A world that pirouettes in pain will often bid a muse to bed” thats such a creative and clever line that would stay in my head for a long time! And i also love how you’ve written “ Yet love not only heals the Earth but all that hinders words to flow So when I write with heart and grace I write from what I yearn to know” so soulful and true! And evocative too! Definitely a fave this is for me!

Hey Mike, love how your poem beautifully captures the transformative power of love on the act of writing. The opening lines set the stage for an exploration of the intersection between words and thoughts of love, presenting them as a collision that ignites the creative process. The metaphor of a fountain suggests an overflow of emotions, with an eager pen translating these thoughts into expressive lines...
