Lin Lane

Today I will honor a poet,
a great influence here on the soup.
She no longer shares her words,
but remains a part of this special group.

With integrity and honor,
her character was always displayed.
Even when disrespected,
her spirit was never swayed.

I sure do miss her presence,
for she was a special soul.
Helping her fellow poet,
was always one of her goals.

I hope someday she’ll return,
she was so caring and never vain.
We will leave the light on for you,
my dear friend Lin Lane.

Mark, I was told that you paid tribute to me in a poem, and now that I've read your lines I'm honored and humbled by your kindness. Thank you, sweet friend, for remembering me with such respectful words. I will pay honor to YOU by making it one of my favorite writes. I've not posted since February, so I'm sure many have either forgotten me or have no idea who I am. That's no slight to your wonderful tribute. Thanks again, Mark. Hugs for you!

what a lovely tribute Mark, Several people have asked after her recently but I've not heard from her for a while, all I know she was busy caring for her new grand daughter. I will mail her and let her know about your poem and hope that she will drop by to comment:-) hugs jan xx
