Lilith Invoking

Winds blowing thru the land. Creatures of the night lurking. Beware as the spirits take flight. Over there in the ruined churchyard. There lies the cracked bell, some say, It can be heard on the nightly breeze. Suddenly, I hear the screeching night owls. She's going to take you thru the tunnel of night. I could barely hear a voice whispering my way. Just out of the shadows, I see her gazing at me. She comes from heaven, earth lives in the underworld. As the sea ebbed and flowed in honor of its dark lord. And you slip naked between her sheets of silk. Beware that you do not step and lose your way. For the night is long, and the sea is deep indeed. As I drive your sons and daughters into ecstasy. I love how you forbid your sons and daughters. To commit the sins that you, yourself committed. I travel thru mirrors along with the owls of night. I wed thru adultery, and conceive thru murder. Beware that you do not lose your way this day. Or your pleasure with life will not last long. And you can be sure I will be there, to welcome, Those who come to me, into the night, eternal !!! 3/ 13/ 2013 2AM Lilith is Adams first wife

Liith was Adams' first wife before Eve. He banished her because he could not control her. Horrible stories rose up around her I think because she would not bow to Adams' will. Check it out if you haven't . She was indeed a wild child.

wow, great DARK poem. Isnt' there some movie or novel that uses the name LIlith as an evil entity? Maybe a vampire or something? I am glad I finally noticed this one of yours.

The human spirit knows no bounds between what's good and bad. Only with the grace of God will we keep from going mad. The mistic mirror of nightly vision brings everything to light. Where decency and rightousness decide for us what's right. Provocative poem Debbie. Peace. :)

Many interesting images and words here. You have expressed a lot of feelings about sex in a mystical way. This is such a complicated thing isn't it? You navigate the depths very well. I hope I have not missed the point and embarrassed myself. Additionally, I wish you all the best of love and free thought.

Quite a bit to consider in this one Debbie, I thought the consideration of peoples frail efforts In the forbidding of offspring to enter into available mistakes worth reflecting on..as there is an aangle of it would be far eaiser just to say to them you are old enough and independant enough to do whatever..however I admire the bravery -tenacity of (the unfasionable person) Pointing out where not to go wrong.. And in doing so admitting their own faults...
