Like Every Love Note
Your love, yours and hers,
reminds me of every love note ever written,
of a romance novel best read by a fire,
with a glass of wine and tissues for your tears,
it reminds me of the beauty of the sun that sets,
like a last goodbye yet still expecting that tomorrow will come,
with or without the light,
and every word dripped from angels lips to be savored,
as if tomorrow you'd be walking into the desert to die.
And now your love has helped me write,
like every poet who speaks to my soul,
and made me wish I could find words like theirs,
but its not their words I should seek or even my own,
I should have expected it would be anothers love,
that would find the ink to my pen.
