Like a Snake

Every time I hear
you talk.
It's like venom
From a snake.
Wrapping it's body around me
And suffocating me.
Trying to take all
The air from my lungs
Making it where I'm in complete darkness
And there's no light
There's no sound
But your hateful venomous voice.
Tearing me down for
Who I am.
And what I've become.
Making it where I
Have never a voice
To stand up for myself.

Your the poison
That makes me sick.
To where I can't even look at you
Without wanting to vomit.
So I stay away
Wanting nothing to
Do with you
Or your toxic ways.
