Like A Rockabye

Each pulse a beat of grace...
The mint flavor from earl gray
Drifts through round pot of clay
Warm as night's brew ...
My mind floats on twilight's song,
Its lulled notes healing
Each pang of toil's weight
And sleep chants a rockabye...

Dear Nette, I love the sensory anchor of the "round pot of clay" really grounds the shift from the day's "toil" into that floating, twilight headspace. It’s an interesting pairing, the sharpness of mint and Earl Grey cutting through the heavy, warm feel of the tea. A wonderful rhythmic release into being content. Now I need a cup of tea. Blessings, Daniel
