''Like A Black Cat Moan''

My song is inspired by Black Cat Moan, by Glen Hughes, English Rock singer and writer, from his album, Chosen, released in 2025. A dark road crash, a near death changed my fate And as my life was ending, I found my faith Found my faith My life a failure, asked the Divine why? Oh, always the dreamer, seeking a blue sky Seeking a blue sky Now, perhaps a shadow, a ghost with a veil Walking with death, to heaven sail To heaven sail Oh, it's never too late, Oh, is there a second chance God? I am not ready to leave my soul To leave my soul The sunshine has faded, and I just stargaze My strength is leaving, I am scared and alone Yet, I feel the Divine, shining his golden ray Deep inside me I weep, "like a black cat moan" What is my destination? (oh, let it be up) Let me write my name, in the sand, perhaps In the sand perhaps Here comes Saint Peter the gatekeeper, I must awake He will deliver my fate, oh there can be no mistake Oh there can be no mistake God it's not too late Oh, my faith is my fate In this limbo, I wait In this limbo, I wait The sunshine has faded, and I just stargaze My strength is leaving, I am scared and alone Yet, I feel the Divine, shining his golden ray Deep inside me I weep, "like a black cat moan" The sunshine has faded, and I just stargaze My strength is leaving, I am scared and alone Yet, I feel the Divine, shining his golden ray Deep inside me I weep, "like a black cat moan" Moaning like a black cat Oh yeah Oh Yeah The sunshine has faded, and I just stargaze My strength is leaving, I am scared and alone Yet, I feel the Divine, shining his golden ray Deep inside me I weep, "like a black cat moan" The sunshine has faded, and I just stargaze My strength is leaving, I am scared and alone Yet, I feel the Divine, shining his golden ray Deep inside me I weep, "like a black cat moan" Oh, I wait, like a black cat sigh Then, I feel the Divine shine his rays on me And the gate of heaven opens wide
