Notes About The Poem

people seem to be going all out this year - I know we are - and I love it.

Lights

Christmas lights are starting to bloom,
showering multicolored holiday grace
across increasingly bare, late fall suburban landscapes.
I love, I need, the perfectly placed, perfectly timed, whimsy.

Simple, and true. What a strange year. Bring on some light-hearted holiday festivity...Christmas lights are even well-appreciated in a socially distant drive-by fashion.

Yes, I had three poems in the Anthology which I was surprised. I was hoping to have one so I could say I'm a published writer. :) You have been published before haven't you? Suck a little over-achiever...

Only on he Internet. A literary journal site called “the Hyper texts” picked up and featured several of my pieces. Thehypertexts.com so we’re in the same boat - even if YOU are in “first class” with THREE. =p

This has been such a tough year, I think we all definitely need some whimsy. Have a great weekend.
