Lights

A little light could persuade the darkness to loosen its grip upon the weary soul, so long kept in their coffin of dread of trauma and shame-- constricted in the noise of fears screaming mutely for relief. And they do withstand, grasping the quivering hand to hand-- cold and warmth balancing. They are lights--simple, true-- brave and mighty, and best-- kind...gentle...selfless for moments mattered.. They guess pains before spoken, the beauty of tireless reconciliation. The heart needn't struggle to free itself in their accepting embraces. Torches Lifted High... These lights do not rise in our lives for nothing. Though scarce, they steady our purpose, and lock strongly into our essence. They speak truths with grace, laced with steadfast love. They fight against the hurt that dares to ensnare you. They never let you down into the earth without their light without a fight. A profoundly beautiful poem Poetess..."For moments mattered...they guess pains before spoken, the beauty of tireless reconciliation..." A loyalty to love that transcends logic...the 3rd stanza is spiritually sensational. Great freestyle rhythm...a FAV!!...J.A.B.
