Lightning Bugs Taste Nasty
I used to love the smell of lightning bugs when we’d catch a bunch and put them in a mason jar trying to make a lantern. Tonight I saw a few lighting up here and there and caught one. I cupped the tiny insect inside my palm and took a gentle whiff trying to reminisce my childhood days. It almost worked up until I literally snorted the entire lightning bug up my nose, through my nasal cavity and down my throat and spit that little bastard out looking like a shooting star and all. They definitely don’t taste as good as they smell ??
