Lighthouse For the Sufferers
I'm anxious,
puzzled by these brain tricks,
my minds entwined in vines
and I can't find my way through this.
Why am I drinking caffeine?
What does my cat see?
Existential thoughts cause my mind to rot
as I invert, can't speak.
I can't show how to be alive
but I can show you how to hide
when it eats you up inside,
and if you then decide
to ask for help when you're behind
you won't ever come to find
the words to say it or describe.
Ride it like a wave,
you're a vessel in this ocean
you're emotions are the motion
there's a lifeboat you can float in
when the waves behave
and you hold on, all your hope in.
Natures only way
stay on board and stay in focus.
Float on through, right there!
You're almost there.
See the light there?
A light to guide us home during stormy seas
and nightmares.
