Lighthouse Beams
I.
Lighthouse runs during the rough night tonight
Splash, splash, the ocean beats upon the shore
Rocks create edge foam, a white gorgeous sight
Storm approaches the lighthouse to implore
Town builds itself around the lighthouse door
Faster, the ocean crashes on the sand
Warning beacon shines from this rocky land
II.
This lighthouse beams its bright rays far beyond
Ships acknowledge the light by their foghorns
Keeps their distance from the shore they respond
The lighthouse greatly shines and in turn warns
Grass near the shore completely carries thorns
Making the whole scene quite tense and is feared
Cold dark sky brightened by the light endeared
