Lighter Me, Forgiven Myself

I know i have caused sleepless nights
Even tears are plain in sight
I know I have done wrong
I know i have covered up the pain
Acting like I was insane
I have shattered dreams
Couldn't blame myself
Because it wasn't me

Now I know it was all me
The tears the pain the hurt
Even the discomfort
I wake up in a pool of tears
The first thing I think of 
FORGIVEN
I had to forgive myself
Of everything i have and had done
And now I understand things wont be the same
So I end my day , with a smile
For I feel lighter inside, because I have forgiven MYSELF.

Dawn Gordon March 2, 2011 at 10:15 AM forgiving yourself is crucial, but in my faith being forgiven by God is the most important factor...and the only way to do that is to make it up to the people you impaled..i mean if you are christian and want salvation that must be done..if not then all the power to just forgive yourself, but that is not what christians believe
