I have long lost you
In the wilderness of space,
My love for you
Like the flame of a candle
Was snuffed so long ago
By a light spatial breeze,
Forgotten and forsaken easily
Like a blaze of a blistering nova,
Evaporated like a snowflake
That fell in the angry sea.

I never tasted,
What you termed,
A tempestuous love,
Nor did you ever provoke
The dream of dreams.

I've grown angelic wings now,
Glide amongst the stars
Search for my own
Brand of rhapsodic happiness
I may find desire and ecstasy,
Or perish in the attempt,
I am prepared to take the risk
Can I light the candle again?

A fantastic and heartfelt poem, Victor, wonderful poetry, and suitable terminology in your great verse on a love that has been and gone yet look to the future. Only the burning of a candle can reignite the passion of the heart. "Evaporated like a snowflake that fell in the angry sea" Blessings and kindest regards.

Excellent vocabulary, Victor, in this write evoking love lost, yet ruminating still in what could be. Great ending line invokes the burning flame that might be.
