Lighten Up
tears of sadness
tears of delight
fall from my eyes
pain and loss burn deep
whereas tears of joy
carry hope
soft voices spoken
in love and lust
may roar in anger
destroying the soul
tender touch of a hand
raised in wrath and hatred
weigh heavy on your heart
lighten up
push through to the light
make sense of your life
