Light Appeared

I saw a red lantern in the sky the night of May gleams like ruby in a cave It was near to twelve and the whole world was asleep not know a sailing skyward drifting in solitude and my eyes pasted toward the unexpected traveler the way my face drawed in awe to a migrant bird at rainy April night sky Or a kid mesmerized on a prism when early sunlit hit the Reynolds ballpoint inside the class while the teacher discussed History back on the late 80's That when the bell rung ran secretly on the grasses whose bull cap had New York logo chasing the dragonflies and if still have time sat on it, smelled its fresh cut scent soberedly staring the white rolling clouds in afar Time was a thief I am not old yet, sooner somehow I will Where my hair filled by ashen grey I'll remember the night the red lantern cruising the sad May sky for it was like a door where I could revisit my distant past I had my two kids now there are times I let them sat on my lap and let their small fingers draw things in the clustered stars hard times come I wouldn't expect it of being a father time when you cry loud no one hears for tears shed deep inside it happened a long time ago my third child wife miscarriage shatters me like a glass wounds meant to heal still marks remains and the red lantern my God, where does it go rested.
