Notes About The Poem

Life's Storms

When life’s storms come your direction
It can be like an infection
They cause you to feel kind of blue
So don’t let your storms define you

Storms should not define who you are
Allowing them may cause a scar
These burdens may cause you to skew
So don’t let your storms define you

You are not defined by your past
Do you know who you are at last
A man died for you is a clue
So don’t let your storms define you

He bled on the cross for your sake
A new life for you to partake
Believe in Christ and you are new
So don’t let your storms define you

Congrats on POTD! Christ walks on the water and speaks to the storm, “Peace, be still.”

How I enjoyed reading this poem! Word choices provide a message that 8 syllable lines cannot minimize. Like me, I feel you may write for a contest, but your history and individuality flow from your ink. All the best ... CayCay
