Life's Rewards Ensure To Insure

a twitch of the line signals action below
grip tightens on the rod in hope of a strike
heart pounding, scarce breathing, all senses aglow
success calls for patience and reflex alike
without warning the calm smooth surface shatters
ensuring a set hook is all that matters
when the angler prevails and takes a selfie
for the love of sport fishing set that life free

for protection through life they sell me a plan
to hand over thousands that i'll never see
signing my name to a contract i just scan
to cover a what if this happens to me
through health and good fortune the one thing i lose
payment for insurance that i didn't use
i'm sure some folks are thankful, to say the least
till viewing their next bill and find it increased

Yes, I believe there should be a payback reward for, let's say, paying auto insurance for years, enduring increased payments, but never using it. However, a lot of insurance regulations are law.
