Life's Requests 2
Life’s requests 2
Long in thought stare sadder eyes
When summers leaves wither and die,
Until the music from out our lost intent
Speak words of life’s request
Expressions hold impressions felt
Over the failing land, our motherland;
And like words spoke once of promises told
Sound our life’s request
See not the bright tomorrow fare
Until gone this wearied night,
And the moments held in times resolve
Are like those of life’s request
This, our time of sun shines breadth
Here in a place our thoughts are bound,
And the music from out our lost intent
Are like words of life’s request
