Life's Journey
There’s this tiny whisper that should be heard with a mighty roar,
by each and every being, twix each of our shining shores.
While upon life’s journey, feast you upon the many gifts of nature’s plan.
Stoop to hold a delicate flower. Cradle it gently in your hand.
See the splash of color, in a fresh dew drenched rose.
Stop to smell of its fragrance, as it waifs across your nose.
Mother Nature is the artist, with her pallet full of hue.
Next to her’s all of man’s creations can be measured but a few.
The colors of a rainbow, other things that mean as much
To know the simple pleasure, of your woman’s gentle touch.
Look up to the magnificent mountain, as it rises to the sky.
Stand and hold your baby, as you listen to his cry.
Walk and savor the refreshing drops, of an early summer rain.
Listen to the mournful, lonesome, distant sound, of the whistle of a train.
Feel the coolness of the water of a joyous babbling stream, as it rushes to the sea.
Stop to ponder the marvel of the mysterious flight, of a simple honey bee.
Rush not to harvest the many fruits that are offered along the way.
Stop to savior these offerings on your journey to life’s last day.
Our time passes so very quickly, on the journey to eternity.
Pass slowly, so very slowly, my friend on your way to your destiny.
