Notes About The Poem

Life's Greatest Anguish

life's greatest anguish:
                                  passion felt yet unexpressed
                                        harrowing hunger

   love in confinement
   a required sacrifice
desire in f^l^a^m^e^s

                                                                        cravings and longings
                                                                    consume the tormented heart
                                               there
                                                 is
                                                no
                                              respite

I think it is perfect as it is. Time is a bit limited at the moment. I am working 6 days this week as my partner is in the Dominican Republic. Things will be back to normal next week.

A yearning passion, one that cannot be extinguished, a restless heart, desiring what cannot be had...the anguish and hunger....Wow, you've got my heart beating fast!! Another incredible piece of art from you!! Hugs, Rhonda

This is my kind of poetry . . . the words, the form, the power of the message. Another fav for me. Unfilled passions is the leading cause of depression . . . at least that is what I would surmise . . . a burning fire that consumes the heart. Well done LO!

As long as it isn't fifty shades of grey....we're ok! ;) I love Logan....My Mama passed on 15 years ago. She loved his songs....Makes me miss her. Don't ever mind the grey in your hair....It's a sing of distinction. :) I like grey...in whatever shades...of HAIR! ;)

Oh...is it St Patrick's Day? Have a lovely one, Liam. Oh...I've always loved Ireland. Ireland does well in the Eurovision Song Contest. While I was living in Cyprus...that was an obsession of mine. I'd tape the shows! I'd even call in to vote. I know...I'm passionate about music. Johnny Logan won three times for your country...What's Another Year...Hold me Now...and he wrote the lyrics for the winning song of 1992.... :) Thanks for your visit, dear. You have a lovely avatar! Hugs

Your response to Ian is a poem within it self. I love how you presented this one, it gave the piece an added flare.

:) Should I post I as prose, Richard? What a lovely thing to say. How are you? Hope you're doing well. I have a new poem up. Read it when you have time. ALSO....HELLO???? Where is your new write? Am I going to have to go to the past writes? I do that and I see my avatar time and again...I feel silly making the same comments. You need to write more, Richard. Hugs

:) I thought I'd do something a little different....I was about to post the firs time when I lost it all and had to try to recapture it from memory. Yes, I know...save on word first. I do too excited to post sometimes. Loved the latest pics of your little one, Cas. Hugs
