Don't want to go out like a stagnant pond but cutting my way to the sea..
Acceptance of one's life ebbing Slowing to a halt grinding still Let not life ebb but end running Acceptance of one's life ebbing Not drip drop_pitter pat but rushing forward with force; carving through hills Acceptance of one's life ebbing Slowly to a halt grinding still In honor of Brian Strand. Contest:Any Verse.. Looked up verse.. Triolet is considered verse *Note Click on"About This Poem"

I agree Sara, we should somehow stay active to the end. It gets a bit fuzzy though on how active!!! :)

Nicely done Sarah. I've always said that I'm going to go full tilt until I just run out of gas one day and drop. Then they can do whatever they like with what's left because I won't be there anymore. I just believe that you should live each moment as though it were your last because it just might be. Then, when you are gone and all that is left behind but your memory, what will people remember. Great job here. God Bless, JB

Which state fair is that, Sara? Nice idea for a trip. Regarding this maturely written triolet, wow! I often feel the same about my own aging. The best is yet to come and I don't want to slow down...yet...speed up so I don't miss a single thing. Have a great day, gurl! Running our race with patience.

Each one of us must face our own mortality eventually...but not while we are young, we hope. An evocative and poetic write. Hope you are well. xoxo Robert.
