Life Storms

Do you like the smell of the air
when the impending storm approaches?
I just love it
Smells so musky, full of water particles in the air
The wind is blowing, so fresh
It hasn't rained yet
Is it because we are anticipating it
And that is why we are so eager?
Does it always rain when it storms?
Why is that?
Then why we are afraid of storms
and yet we want it rain?
Rain down on us Lord
Not storm down on us
Haha
Don't you want him to give everything He's got
and get it over with?
Pour down on us with such force
that we may not be able to withstand
Do we want that?
Or you want just enough to clean us
refresh us, and nourish us?
God knows what to do
A lot of times we ask for things
and not know the reason behind it
God is the reason
He is the voice behind it
He had us want things
desire things that we know a lot of times
He is the only one who is able to provide it
Yeah
God will continue to pour down on you
storm down on you
that only He knows that you are able to withstand
Because in the course of rain
Life comes
I like the rain
And I like the storms
But not life storms
Can you have one and not the other?

I really enjoyed your poem. Sometimes though we learn more from the storms.
