Though surrounded with love I am alone,
since that tragic day in my childhood life;
I watched my sister die with a last moan,
the horror stabbed my heart with a sharp knife.
I went silent from that day, I withdrew,
soon, I spoke but was shattered in my mind;
often I feel put together with glue.
in time my sadness and my words entwined.
And a poet was born out of great grief,
like a boat forgotten and weather-stained;
I have floated far and wide like a leaf,
ruined- with a beauty hard to explain.
Heard a poet must suffer to write well;
so no wonder to this fate- I have fell.
