Life of Torment
From birth we live a life of torment
Always for a want or desire
Goals throughout the years we live
Of building our own empire
But torment it always surrounds us
Anytime, any place on any day
As we try to make our goals a reality
Struggling we pave the way
Ourselves we regularly torment
Over decisions we've had to make
Debating on the right choice
And will it turn out great
Then there's the torment inflicted from others
Deliberately sabotaging any work we do
Making it difficult for us to succeed
Causing dramas, delays and setbacks too
It's how you choose to deal with it
That sets you apart from the rest
For torment it will always be there
As it's a part of life's test
