Life of a Post It Note

life of a post it note....
remove me from
my plastic packaging 
life of a post it note....
write on my yellow
surface "note to self"
life of a post it note....
stick me up on the wall
life of a post it note....
look at me for a while 
as a reminder of a goal
life of a post it note....
then after a while forget 
that i am there never 
look my way anymore
i become part of the back round 
scenery until one day you happen 
to glance my once again 
life of a post it note....
then you ripe my of the wall 
were i had been for weeks 
and crumple me up into a little 
paper ball and throw me into the trash 
life of a post it note....
