Life Like a Ball

It was freezing like hell When the time was swell Air was filled with a scent It was sweet and it meant Champagne was poured onto our lips People were dancing, moving their hips Life used to be better but Now it didn’t matter People were trapped in a maze Unaware they were amazed No one looked for the way out Everyone was lost in the crowd We were freezing like hell But the time was swell We spoke about the freedom Though no one was thankful People admired the kingdom But were loaded with boredom Sometimes life seemed tiring But the ball kept on inspiring
