Life Is Fleeting
My life is fleeting; I'm destined to die;
although I'm a conscious, thinking being.
The laws of Nature equally apply;
my life is fleeting.
Faith helps me to believe without seeing
that there are Angels and God rules on high,
I possess a soul in need of freeing.
Hope is something I cannot quantify,
and yet, its presence sends my doubts fleeing.
Even though I get to love, laugh, and cry,
my life is fleeting.
