Notes About The Poem

My Inspiration!!! I love Langston. What an awesome poet! This poem shows that life is worth living even when you lose love....I've written a poem in his honor before

Nothing should rob you of your smile because....LIFE IS FINE! :)

Life Is Fine

This life is fine
The world is mine
Though I can’t stop
The hands of time

The birds all sing
And flowers bloom
The sun still shines
And chases gloom

And I can view
The sparkling sea
And all the stars
Just dance with me

The clouds, they hide
And I must seek
The creatures small
At me, they peek

The grass is cool
Beneath my feet
The water dew
Now wets my cheek

I have true friends
A family
And hope of an
Eternity

A place where I
Will not fear death
Where all is sweet
Upon my breath

Where tears will cease
to touch my face
And I am blessed
By Heaven’s Grace

My life is fine
The world is mine
This is my time
To truly shine

I really love ALL your poetry, Eileen. I've read a lot of them but haven't commented til now. Also, this poem is so simple, like Langston's, and I just love "simple". Will visit more often from now on.

I love Darren to bits as an amazing friend - I have had more contact with him in the past week than I had in the previous 14 months! I still continued to write to him on a regular basis even though I got very little feedback I just needed him to know he was in my thoughts .... and finally my persistence has paid off :-) hugs jan xx

Thank you, my dear poet. I was emotionally unwell these past two days. Thank God I'm better. Another cause it's that my daughter will be leaving again to study abroad. I've had her with me for one year, and it is so hard to let go. I cry now and again, but I MUST be strong for her sake. Thelo na prosefxeis gia mas...toso diskolee gia mena...efkharisto kai filakia.
