Life is But a Mist
Life is But a Mist
(James 4:14)
Life is but mist that rises with the dawn,
A fleeting breath — it vanishes so fast.
We plan and dream, yet soon those dreams are gone,
Like shadows fading in the morning’s cast.
Tomorrow’s promise hides behind a veil,
Uncertain, veiled in whispers yet untold.
The past, a story drifting like a sail,
The present’s all — our only hand to hold.
So let us live with purpose, clear and bright,
Embrace the now before it slips away.
In humble grace, walk gently toward the light,
For life’s a mist that cannot long delay.
Though brief our time, let love and wisdom stay —
A shining mark when all else fades to gray.
