Life Is a Joke We Are Playing On Ourselves

Nobody tells you Life is a joke Sitting in somber pews Re(hearsing) gregorian chants Then back to in-family dance One day off to school We learn how the world is ruled Dont step out of line Get it on budget, in time Why so serious face? Has science figured it out? Chromosomes in the dark Aliens and DNA The myths we tell ourselves Right from the start Always forgetting Life is a joke We are playing on ourselves
