Life Goes On

Life goes on past my lifetime. Hard to believe... Bereft! I think I shall watch from heaven. Better than a blockbuster movie — the other side of nasty and nice. Shall I turn toward those golden streets? Greet each day at the Pearly Gates? Or shall I look downwards to my progenies to see the mess or mass celebration. I hear the ecstasy of choiring cherubim. I turn toward fruity trees releasing color, shape and scent. I take an unforbidden bite. Each bite releases endorphins. Doubting her meal will turn out right. Burnt rice, too crispy chicken. Oh...oh...she’s turned her face in the right direction. Correction of error. Giving thanks to God Almighty. Now I’m all ears — she has my attention. Does she feel my smile? I’ll hug her for awhile. 6/12/2021

I have felt some of my beloved who now abide in heaven were intricately interested in some of the intensities here in my life. There are so many times I have felt like there was a smile from heaven, a dream given to me as a gift from God, and loved ones there! I love this!!!!

I am certain you are right. I've lost count of the times when I say something...and then pause -- thinking that that sounded just like my father; and could not have entirely originated in me alone. Lovely, adorable read.

Thank you, Joe! My husband was making a meal he hadn’t made before but that he had watched his late mother make. It was amazing his “self-talk” remembering how his mom made this recipe and the oohs and ahhs that came from our holiday dinner. I think she must have whispered in his ear. God bless you, sweet friend!

This was a sweet and fun read my friend. It was as if I was watching a movie where the mom passes on and is hanging around to guide her children after she is gone. Great job. God Bless, JB

this was a fun read. I always wonder if anyone up there is looking down on me. I sure hope my brother Dale is. Probably I will get to go see soon enough!
