Life and Footwear

Booties on tiny feet

Skipping in new white tennies

Wobbling in first high heels

Gliding in wedding slippers

Chasing kids in sensible flats

Arthritic fingers and velcro straps

... No shoes needed in the after- life

But you will walk with me on the streets of glory ... the golden slippers are secured for you. Like honey from a sweet sweet heart, your poem comes.

Very witty, Barbara. I haven't seen any shoes painted on angels' feet in pictures. I like the progression from the "booties" to the "velcro straps." Nicely done, Barbara! Love, Carolyn
