Life Abounds
Every morning I walk over the hills down to the sea
The blue water crashing in onto the rocks
Seagulls circle, dive and play in the surf
I imagine sometimes that it’s all here for me
The mist is rising from the shoreline now
Colours abound, a vision to preserve
From the mountains beyond, down through the glen
All life is here to see, to enjoy if time allows
If mountains could speak, tales from the past
People, history and events of the years
Fantastic knowledge there to be learnt
From a natural and ancient library so vast
The glen it divides the mountains so great
A fierce battle once raged upon this ground
The salmon still swim within the water
To rise and spawn and proliferate
The sea so powerful, rolling from within
Carries it’s force from the far distant shore
Supporting creatures in translucent blue
Everywhere around life is happening
