Life & Death

Without the darkness there would be no light Without death there would be no life Keeping death close to my heart, embraced close never to depart Looking deep, eyes don't avoid, I drawing strength from deaths void Contemplating that black abyss lets me feel lifes deep full kiss All things are clear to my eyes, stripped right back of their disguise Without the darkness there would be no light Without death there would be no life Without the darkness there would be no light Without death there would be no life Living on the ragged edge of life, walking a path rife with strife The lessons taught to the soul, keeps your eye upon the goal Don't look down into the black, once you do you can't going back You be drag down to your knees, from there you fall will dire ease Without the darkness there would be no light Without that light there is no sight Without that sight there is no delight And with no delight there can be no life Live your life without a care, and fix death with an evil stare Look into those eyes each day, will show a path through anyway Relieve your soul of burdened weight, free your mind of needless hate Show you how good life can be, lift you up and set you free Without the darkness there would be no light Without that light there is no sight Without that sight there is no delight And with no delight there can be no life
