Life
No one ever said it would be a magic carpet ride
Or a home on Easy Street, with a white picket fence
Eating with a silver spoon in your mouth, out if a golden bowl
It is all what you make it, that is for you to decide
Intelligence is fine, but use some common sense
No matter how poor you are, never sell your soul
No one will just give you respect, that you have to earn
No matter how rich or famous, it is all the same price
We all put our pants on the same, one leg at a time
No matter how many times we go around, we all have to learn
The only thing that is free, is bad advice
Because those are the ones that will take you for your last dime
It is not a Hollywood fantasy of going down "The Yellow Brick Road"
Beware of those pulling the strings, that is behind the curtain
Leave your pockets full of empty and a lot of adios
Cause hey are there to lighten your load
There is no guarantee and nothing is for certain
It can be sweet, but sometimes life is a bitter dose
All we can do, "is do our best"
Rather it be inn the short comings or the long haul
No one goes through life without making mistakes
Cause life is just one big old test
But it is not the same for all
Life is a gamble and those are the stakes
