Life

Stripping away at truth to become an acceptable man. Suppressing one's youth, a part of societies' plan. Masking your face to fit the crowd, altering the identity of the mind. Muffling that which is loud, measuring to stay in line. Education washes the slate, preparation made in haste. To keep a specific date,  to keep specific taste. Religiously pruning must take place, to keep the rules in order. To fairly run this race, you must not cut the corner. Love is way overrated, when finding a proper mate. These things should be planned and created, it seems better than tempting fate. Finding acceptable work, having a respectable career. Happiness is an unaffordable perk. being without is your greatest fear. When children are born, they must be suppressed, masked and muffled. Though heart may be torn. Better to educate, prepare and measure, but order may be shuffled. At last you've reared them up, you can retire to rocking chair. To enjoy a drink from life's cup, and at the big cycle stare. 9/21/18
