Lies and Other Faults

Yesterday, I lied.

I faked a laugh and
g r o a n e d.

In fake satire,
but that was a
lie.

I fake a lot of things:
-regret
-happiness
-completion
-sympathy

But darling (another lie), I did not feign affection.

Dear Kenna, We like ware emotional masks at different times in our lives, for some it's a self defense thing, for others it's a way to deal with life in general. I enjoyed reading this work you've done well to express these things in your work, cheri and thanks for the comments on my work as well. cheri
