Lies
When the leader of a nation tells lies
creating varied crises, chaos ensues.
Using more lies to change the narrative
indicates actions of an aberrant mind.
When the leader repeats untruths, ad infinitum,
the world around him becomes a cesspool of falsehoods.
Though the stench is unbearable,
his supporters believe wearing political blinders
putting on earmuffs and by disengaging their brains
that this shelters them from life's real and harsh truths.
When the lying leader speaks,
his words immediately become suspect,
their meaning unreliable and not to be trusted;
a dire condition for this country on the world stage.
This novice, this would-be, ill-prepared, incompetent politician,
who had the contested fluke-fortune to be elected president
would like to run this nation like he ran his businesses,
a dictatorship, but hopefully not into bankruptcy.
He expects people and the press to be loyal and subservient
he imagines he is the king of this great nation,
but in his fake euphoria he forgets, we are a free people
not given to being coerced by our leaders, or suffering fools
pretending to be what they're not, competent leaders.
He does not own this country nor are we citizens he can bully.
His mental competence gives us pause,
casting doubt over his ability to run this nation
putting into question how he made all those billions of dollars.
His inexperience in running a government speaks volumes to his naïveté.
Dealing with established laws and mature adults is more difficult than making decisions on the run with nobody to keep him in check;
this nation is not his personal business to lord over.
Laws are legal barriers meant to keep flim-flam men and his shills
from selling snake-oil to an unsuspecting and trusting country
and preventing policy vulnerabilities from being taken advantage
and profiting from them.
Integrity, truth and accurate factual information are at
the foundation of a Democratic government.
The American people shout, “When will the lies end
and honesty and truth restored?"
TRUTH:
Maybe when Republican sheep stop enabling and excusing his lies,
get a conscience and become real American citizens by supporting
all the people of the United States, not only the 5%,
and not blindly accepting the corrupting tainted money
dangled by companies and corporations solely interested in profits
and not in the survival of America.
