Lies

I rang the bell, but it made no sound...
I fell on my face, but not to the ground...
I cried out to god, but she was gone...
I sang all the words but not the song...
I wept without a single tear..
I was afraid without a single fear...
I screamed out in a muted pain...
I soaked in the storm but not in the rain...
I wish I was me but someone else...
I wish I could reach that gun on the shelf...
I am sick as a dog but in perfect health...
I'm a raging moron; thoughtful and wise...
And if you believe that, I have plenty more lies...

An outpouring of emotions that surges up from the heart and splashes against the page like a cleansing rain, as the author pours out his soul. Emile. #7
