Liberia Bleed In Tears

Liberia bleed in tears
She bleeds at the ascension of evil sons of the soil to higher offices,
In the name of development
squandering and laundering her wealth
are but a few causes of her unending hemorrhage of tears
She bleed in tears

Liberia bleed in tears
As if fourteen evil years of civil war
That left her desolate and torn
were not enough lessons for her sons
Yet she’s been stab and bitten in the back
By her own children
resulting to decades of wailing
Her sounds goes forth through all the earth
Echoing the voices of the unheard cries of her patriots
She bleed in tears

Liberia bleed in tears
At the mournings and wailing of the poor who become poorer
Weak who become weaker, sick who become sicker..as the rich grow richer
Feeding themselves to the national cake
She bleed in tears

Liberia bleed in tears
At the unending torments of her sons
Who come in day after day in the name of patriotism
Just to discover they were more worse than the worst
More evil than the devil, fearful than fear, dangerous than danger
They were enemies in disguise with corruption, nepotism, deceit,
and blasphemous policies lurking beneath their agenda
She bleed in tears

Liberia bled in the past
She bleeds now
Will she bleed tomorrow?
Is in our hands to correct now our failings
Or cripple fast the future
Till then Liberia bleeds still
