Letting It All Go

There comes a time, when you’ll need to pack
To stuff boxes full, then break your back.
How in God’s name did I get so much stuff?
This move ahead…going to be really rough.

Did I really need five sets of dishes,
Or did that result after silly wishes?
When I craved more of this, more of that,
Had to have that dress, that goofy hat.

Items in my pantry, some there for years
Looking in the closets, brings me to tears.
To pare it down greatly will be my goal,
But this is completely out of control!

This year will be full of changes indeed…
I best get started, if I am to succeed!

It does accumulate rather quickly and we never notice until it's time to move. Good luck:) Love this sonnet also, Mrs Betty.
