letting go

eventually the overthinking had stopped
meditation and prayer had settled emotional scores
and bygones became a bright shadow of hope
past performance was no indicator of future success
the Tarot cards merely pictures of a possible path
a fool on a journey of becoming wise and serene

he settled for what was there at this moment
in immense gratitude and with blossoming faith

in his dream he was transported by a yellow convertible
surely a yellow brick road of transformation ahead
and he settled for amber curiosity and anticipation
conversed with Higher Powers to be in absolute charge

he dusted his boots and polished up an experience
that he had not chosen but lead to freedom and mileage
laced his walking shoes and ventured in patience

floodgates had closed once the earthquake diminished
as a rainbow and solemn star in the sky offered guidance
to move on and embrace a waxing moon of departure
destination not yet disclosed one day at a time

A nuance of being persuasive, eloquent in your expression, is eminent, at a time when chasing tarocchi 's trick taking games, false fate, etc., seem an only option. We retreat and reassess our approach, walk along a new difficult journey ! Wishing you double rainbows, Kai. This is one for the archives, I'll be faving this treasured moment. May blessings

I really like this and the yellow road symbolism was so spot on. I just now saw a comment you left me a week ago . Thanks for that.

Thank you Arthur. It is a true story and every day a bit more of the sadness slips away. Kind wishes to you, Kai

One day at a time dear Kai, yes, and i must say i absolutely love the imagery here youv painted so seamlessly and the softness of your word weaving has a soul warming effect. Sometimes nature shows us and guides us, when uncertain, to keep going and to let go of habits and things that do nor serve us right anymore. I am too letting go of so much. This poem hits deep for me! Pleasure reading you today. Sending you light always
